I was wandering through gardens and noticed all the sunflowers face the sun.

Every one of them turned to soak up the warm rays.

I thought of how we ought to be turned toward the Son,

and soak up all the holy rays

that beam from his written Word.

 

 “Kiss the Son,

lest he be angry,

and ye perish from the way,

when his wrath is kindled but a little.

Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”

Psalm 2:12

How often do we look at life through the dirty lens of sin?

Self-centeredness?

A condescending point of view?

Judgmental?

Prideful?

 

We would do well to look at life through the lens of God’s Word.

How much clearly we would see…

to be able to help those in need…

to minister to those who need comfort…

to step in and lend a hand without being asked?

 

“The desire of the righteous is only good…”

“Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
