Artist

Hello!

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web.

With a degree in Fine Art, I enjoy photography, watercolor painting, and pencil drawing. I also have been known to dabble in counted cross-stitch, sewing, and knitting.

I am thankful for God’s amazing grace as I hike along the narrow trail, following the blazes He has set for me in His Word. I write about the lessons my Trail Guide teaches me along the way while capturing my view in pixels and paint …and sometimes pencil.

A few tidbits of random info about me… in no particular order…

  •  I met my husband in a photography darkroom. We are developing four fantastic kids together.
  • I took Photography so long ago that I have no earthly idea how to use Photoshop. (The photos on this site are straight out of the camera.
  • The beach is my happy place, I love hearing the rhythm of the waves and having warm sand beneath my feet.
  • I love to hike but I don’t get to do it very often. My favorite hike of all time is Old Rag Mountain in Virginia.
  • I was adopted by a cat named Twilight, and she blessed our family with three adorable offspring.
  • It is my dream to make an income with my art someday.
  • I started this blog as a birthday present to myself.
  • I am a coffee-a-holic. My favorite brand is Laughing Man Coffee.
  • I enjoy a variety of music thanks to my father’s love of music. Broadway, classical, contemporary Christian music and old hymns are just a few of the genres I listen to regularly.
  • My latest binge music is the soundtrack from The Greatest Showman. It makes me want to sing, dream, be creative and dance my feet off. It is currently my favorite movie as well.
  • My husband and I will be celebrating 26 years of wedded bliss in June, 2019. Our life together is a wonderful adventure.
  • My favorite color is blue; various shades of blues, aquas, teals, turquoise…
  • We’ve moved 14 times in 24 years of marriage. In 2016, we finally bought a home of our own and I am still unpacking and trying to settle in more than two years later.
