Creativity Bootcamp- Catching Up: Day 11 “Hush”

Day 11 of the Creativity Boot Camp was “hush”.

I am enjoying this process and it is helping me to be more creative with Picnik. Gee, the things I could do if I had Photoshop! …sigh…

This was fun and even the kids kept coming up with ideas. all. day. long.

They are really good at “pretend sleeping” it seems. (Just don’t try that when it is time to get out of bed for school!) The following are their ideas:

(I have no idea what the coat hanger is all about.)
And then I found myself using the word ‘hush’ when this adorable fur covered child of ours…
decided to do this:
…which is unusual for her.
Very out of character for her to bark.
I am NOT exaggerating.
Silly dog.
However later in the day, I found a photo to take that did not require me to set up at all.
Sleeping beauty.

Creativity Bootcamp- Catching Up: Day 8 "Ornament"

So, not only was I busy partying on Saturday, Day 7, I was busy on Day 8 worshipping.

Day 8 of the Creativity Boot Camp was “ornament.”  My first thought was…
“But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible,
even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit,
which is in the sight of God of great price.”
1 Peter 3:4
But how does one photograph that?
And then I thought of her.
She is one of the finest Christians I have known. I have never heard her say anything negative about anyone. I have never heard her raise her voice. She lives trusting in the Lord to meet her every need. She exemplifies a meek and quiet spirit.

Creativity Bootcamp- Catching Up: Day 7 "fly"

On day 7 of the Creativity Boot Camp I was a tad bit busy. I did not have the time needed to even take special photos of “Fly” much less go thru the time consuming process of uploading photos to Picnik to tweek anything I might have taken and then actually write a post about it.

You see,  my family was busy surprising my mom to the point of speechlessness and tears.  We celebrated her 70th birthday with a large gathering that included rented chairs and tables and a caterer. We all had a great time and mom was overwhelmed by the people and the distances they had traveled to celebrate and honor her.

So now I get to play ‘catch up’…

Day 7 “fly”…

My first thought was photos of things that actually fly:

birds,
 butterflies,
and dragonflies.
But then I thought of this:

My brother in his Porsche. You see he recently took my son for a ride down a back country road that is a bit like a roller coaster, though straight as an arrow it has successive hills going up or down depending on which direction you travel. He informed me, thankfully, that they left the road vertically and not horizontally. (Praise the Lord! Hmm… now where is that little boy so I can give him a speech about safe driving techniques?)

I also thought of this:

My other brother tearing into his birthday gift like a little boy, the paper flying everywhere.
